G.I. Joe Concept Trailer

From the minds of Jester and Jolin who brought us some great fan made Transformers concept designs, below is a concept trailer they put together as if doing a GI Joe movie. I figure many will find it interesting considering that the G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is coming out next Friday.

Hey guys, this is a concept trailer I put together for a project me and Jolin were working on a couple years ago. I won't get into the specifics for obvious reasons. It was a tight deadline and we pretty much had three days to put this together from scratch. Enough time has passed for us to be able to share this. So here's a brief glimpse at what direction the GIJOE film could have taken but sadly did not. I guess it's sort of a concept trailer / animated storyboard / character roll call.

Something to Fill Trailer Hunger

We all want a trailer, yet so far there is no proven news on the trailer. So how about a fantastic fan made trailer from two years ago reformatted for YouTube's new widescreen look with commentary. Jester and Jolin (TF artwork extraordinaire) created a trailer for the first movie that was a direct nod to the 1984 generation one cartoons. Their work went on to win the "Fanaticon" contest that Yahoo! Movies held which led to a trip to Industrial Light and Magic. To see some cool pictures from ILM that they took click here. Cosmos Fan Concept Art

Jester and Jolin strike again, this time with their design for Cosmos. The old G1 character was a green and yellow mini-bot that turned into a flying saucer. This one's alt mode is a much more logical Cybertronian Transport Shuttle that gives the character the heft and strength one would expect from a Transformer. Once again another excellent design (more work here).

Armadillo TF Concept Art

In a nod to Michael Bay's Armageddon, Jester and Jolin have created another piece of Transformers concept art based on the movie's Armadillo. From the posts on Don Murphy and Michael Bay Forums:

Greetings, my name is Armadillo. Just wanted to introduce myself. I come from a long line of drilling and excavation robots. Not too long ago I was hired by NASA to help a group of roughnecks save your planet from certain doom. It was a tough job and I lost good friends in that battle. But alas we overcame the impossible and you are all here today.

This one might be the best one yet, love the integration of the background, but I think the Tumbler is still my current favorite. Keep up the excellent work you two.

Deconstructing Motormaster

From Jester, creator of many TF concept art, is the below videos (used the high quality versions below) that show Motormaster concept art being assembled from its individual components. Both show the same footage but the second one has a different background, camera angle and motions. Overall very cool and much more detailed work then I previously thought.

Jester and Jolin have returned, this time with G1 Stunticons leader Motormaster redesigned movie style. The alt mode is a Peterbilt 389 with Trailer. I like the heft and power that is conveyed.

Fan Made Batman Tumbler Concept

In a celebration of The Dark Knight coming out this Friday comes a very interesting concept from Jester and Jolin. Batman's Tumbler that transforms into an Autobot. I really like the Batman specific motifs like the head that is shaped like his mask, the chest logo and the belt buckle. Excellent work.

Trailbreaker Fan Made Concept Art

From Jolin and Jester, the team that brought you the Jetfire concept art, comes the below Transfan made concept art of Trailbreaker. His vehicle mode is a Chevy Tahoe Offroad Edition. Whether or not Trailbreaker is going to be in TF2 is unknown but this piece of work makes a good argument for his inclusion.

From "Jolin" and "Jester" over at the Don Murphy forums comes the below Transfan made concept art of Jetfire based off the SR-71 Blackbird alt mode. It’s a pretty damn good design that gives off the impression of power. Click their names for more art and other things. Thanks to Rich for the info.
