Barnes & Noble has posted an excerpt from the official novelization of Transformers: Dark of the Moon by Peter David that is coming out on paperback and e-book on May 24th. The novel appears to be partially from the perspective of Optimus Prime but also has the omniscient point of view that an adaptation would need. The main benefit of reading the novel is it can often fill out story details that a movie simply does not have time to do. On the down side it is working off the movie script that will not reflect whatever changes that might have occurred during filming and post-production.
