The Castle Prep and Quad Set Pics

From BP comes the below report and pictures from the University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday as Transformers production continued at the UPENN Quad and the Castle Fraternity was prepped for filming. The picture to the left is from "Flax-imus Prime" and the rest below is from BP.

Filming at the Quads was pretty much all day with just Shia from what I could tell. I asked people if Megan was there and they told me she was down at Kelly Drive where they were shooting some chase scene. It looks like they shot them yesterday along with a bridge race scene. I'm not sure which bridge it was however [probably Walt Whitman Bridge -ed].

Later in the day when they were done shooting at the Quad, Kevin Dunn came out wearing a visitor’s pass on his shirt! Confirmation! Looks like he visited Sam at school. No sign of the mother. Michael Bay came out and talked to a few of us there and he was really cool. There were about 5 of us standing around talking with him. Kevin and Michael both signed before getting into their cars while Shia went right into the car.

No sign of the [TF related] cars on the set today. I did get to Fairmount to catch the chopper tonight. It was dark and only guarded by one person so I snuck up and got the photo. Both Optimus and Bumblebee were in the parking lot [pics here] today but covered over.

The frat house is in the middle of being transformed. They brought in all their own landscaping including laying of new sod and the sprinkling of leaves on the sod. One truck was at the State Penitentiary today for a little bit. They will be filming in the Quad area with Shia for 3 more days at least I was told. It looks like they were able to get a lot done today.

The below pictures show some of the events around campus. In the first pic, I believe the green shirted guy is Shia and Bay is in the second. The black tarp around the Castle seems to be not so much for privacy but as a way to control the lighting of a scene. The privacy is just a bonus. Also, UPENN is rumored to be the taking the place of Princeton so they probably need to block out any background that is distinctive to the UPENN campus. It is good to get confirmation that Kevin Dunn and probably Julie White are back as Sam's parents as I enjoyed those two together on screen in the last movie.

From the comments, FadedSilverScreen blog has more pics of Michael Bay and Kevin Dunn on set. Also the text of the banner is "Saturday 10PM Graffiti 18 to Vandalize 21 to Scandalize" I guess Sam has a party to get into trouble at.

From Jeany, a pic from CinemaBlend.com that shows that yep Shia is wearing a green shirt with a recycle logo which proves the above pic is him. Whether that shirt is for "Sam" or just something Shia is wearing is unknown (but if for the character makes him easier to spot in a crowd).
