TFII Strike Fall-Back Plan

Once again its time for strike talk as the SAG and AMPTP is holding a hard line to their demands which go above and beyond what the Directors and Writers Guilds agreed to. If an agreement isn't reached by June 30th, then the actors are on strike and many productions will have to shut down.

In the case of Transformers, Variety is reporting it has "a built-in hiatus so shutting down won't be costly." It doesn't go in to detail how the hiatus would affect the film if the strike is longer then desired. Nor does it indicate if the hiatus is more a "plan B" and will not occur if a strike doesn't happen.

Bay has indicated that nothing will stop him from getting the movie done on time so I would assume that he would return to work regardless as he would be contractually obligated to show up to work and I doubt the crew would turn down the revenue.

Come July we will have answer one way or the other. (source)
